I haven’t even mentioned ‘B-Fresh’ who is quite possibly the worst side character I have ever seen in a video game, period.
The ‘neighborhood’ as they call is is nothing more than a way for 2k to somehow make simple menus to navigate game modes more difficult, instead of just going to the park menu or shoot around or the gym, you actually have to load into this ‘world’ (which is online and filled with other players, so it constantly lags and takes forever to load) and walk around. It’s not so much ‘MYcareer’ as it is a vehicle for advertisements and ham-fisted bullshit because there are no choices for the player to make to make it feel like it’s your career being played out. There are cutscenes after almost every single game and none of them are skippable because they are filled with product placement that you are required to stare at.
The opening cutscene/ character creation takes a full 45 minutes before you actually play a real game.
